Robert Martin says:

I just replaced the door handle on my 2007 mkz and the only electronic connection I had to disconnect was the electric lock button at the door handle. Once the door panel was removed there was plenty of room to replace the handle mechanism. Otherwise this video is spot on.

Cire118 says:

Fantastic job with this, thank you! I replaced the part on my 2006 Milan in less than 20 minutes and you saved me a lot of money and trouble. Thank you again!

Thank you! This was a perfect easy to understand step by step instructions! Even I can do it! My door handle is broken and needs replacing! I can replace it without all the cost! I have a 2008 Ford Fusion. Thanks again!

Thanks this is going to help me save a bundle. I have the confidence to attempt this repair myself now. Been living 2 years with a broke handle. Ford dealership wanted almost $300 to fix. $65 just to take panel off.

Sharron McKee says:

Do you know how to replace the driver door latch actuator? I can't figure out how to get the inner door panel off?

Tracy Havens says:

If I had known it was this easy to do, I would have done this months ago! Excellent directions. Very simple to follow. Bravo!!

Real Man Skills says:

Perfect one handed execution! My new handle and bezel are on the way. Thanks for making it look so easy!

Stephen Dutton says:

If you can do it all one handed, I should be able to fumble along doing it with two hands wilst watching you on an iPad!

Thanks so much! Great concise and clear video! The only part i faltered on through no fault of yours or video – the 7M hex head screw in the arm handle turned out to be stripped and I couldn't get it out w/ my 7mm rachet. I sprayed with DW40 and waited but no luck. I did what I know you are not supposed to but it worked- i went ahead and took off door panel and got some leverage under the 7m hex screw and was able to get it out– and saw it is stripped. No one's messed with the door since factory so no idea why it would be stripped. Everything else worked great and i was able to get arm rest, door panel, the new handle in place and working. I put the 7m screw back but not tight so will try and find a new one and just replace. Meanwhile, saved 150-200 bucks from doing this myself — so THANK YOU!!

Wow! 56 year old MOM showed 17 year old daughter woman power….with the help of this wonderful man’s very clear and precise video! Thanks. Fixed her 2010 Ford Fusion right up!

Wally Berger says:

Slight variation for 2012 Lincoln MKZ. The top screw behind the door handle is not as pictured. There is a false plastic plate that covers that screw. Not the cosmetic tab. That is underneath the removable plate. I used a pick and thought it would break, but it popped loose first. It does not look removable, but it is. Once this flat panel is removed the access screw will be exposed. Now you will find an additional screw(torx) behind the cover bezel. On to the power window module. Must be some hidden variation for that removal since I am now working on removing that unit without success.

Update: I just started prying on unit with multiple plastic tools and it popped.

Thank you so much for making and posting this video! Your narration of what to do makes me feel highly confident in doing this myself.
