I am going to see if this is my problem of no heat. I hate this car. Its a money pit. Not so much that, but presents constantly with problems that can't be solved. If its not the brakes, its the heat(lack of). After that, got suspension problems that cant be diagnosed. I just hate this car. I miss my Thunderbird. Ran forever and was easy to fix. I know the Mark Viii is a old car but seriously, no wonder Ford is getting out of the car business. Thats just the start. Trucks will follow.

I have had the blend door problem for 10 years on my '98, and have "researched" it from time to time, including running a pull wire up from the glove box area with some heater success but only for a few years.  I'm always curious how to (only) access the blender shaft, but on utube they usually have the whole car apart before they glue it or strap it or whatever to "remanufacture" it in place or the more drastic full replacement.  YOUR video is the first to show me to start from the left dash, and expect 9 connectors, to arrive at the blender.  I have more than once removed the glove box and computer keyboard, only to be stumped. So, Thank You.  I hope to make more progress on my next attempt.  Once I have upper access, I am hopeful to use a superglue/bakingsoda cement concoction, but the zip tie looks great too.
