I need your help sir
I went as far as far as changing both stems and seats, it’s very old house,
still leaking!!
One of the seats wouldn’t get tight , spins, I was very carful
??
Cool now if only it wasn’t stunken into the wall so’s I can reach it.
so no caulking is needed behind the faucet?
I live in a condo with a building where there are many other condos.
Turning off the main water valve outside would not be very feasible or
considerate to others. How vital is it that I have to turn that off?
Thanks for any help.
Thank you for showing HOW the faucet works as well.
I know how to do this perfectly, only bad thing is, I don’t know:
-the names of most of the parts
-reason why the handle has to be turned all the way to the left.
Very informative but I cannot get the screw out of the faucet in order to
get to the washer…what can I do to loosen the screw
MAKE SURE THE WATER IS OFF BEFORE YOU DO THIS JOB!!
ok, now I’m gonna try it, good instructions. oh yeah, I’ll turn water off!!
Seniors work it!
Just watched another video and from my experience working in a hardware
store (long time ago) I knew you need to replace the seats. Nice video, and
tomorrow I’m fixing my leaking shower because we have a terrible drought in
California!
Very good ..Need more emphasis on valve stem being turned on..replaced my
stem but new stem was turned off when I reinstalled..hence no pressure.. If
I go back to reinstall and turn new stem to on will that fix pressure
problem ? Yes water off at main…Also seat is not easy to remove any
Tricks on how to “free” up seat?
Awesome! thank you for the video. This is exactly what I needed to fix our
hot water leak.
Nice! Thanks!
Thank you. Everyone else on youtube seemed to just say replace the
cartridge / spindle. Thank you for shkwing how to repair it.
AWESOME! Yeah, didn’t know about the seat neither!
As someone who has never fixed anything in my entire life, I followed these
instructions to try to fix my leaking shower head. HOWEVER, I did not know
that I had to shut my water off. So when I took the valve off, water
sprayed directly at me. My sister had to run out of the house to shut the
water off. When my uncle came to fix it for us, he found that the screw on
the valve were rusted (or calcified?). When he replaced the washer, a piece
of the valve chipped off. My uncle also tried to fix the cold side, but he
could not get the cold knob off because it was also calcified in. I know
people pride themselves in learning from trial and error, but after trying
it myself after watching this video, I would rather fork over the money for
a plumber to gain a piece of mind and to prevent creating extensive damage.
There are just to many off cases that one could run into!
thank you. didnt know about the seat. It was loose, completely unscrewed.
A long allan key fit to re-attach.
Thanks for the video! I am fixing a leaky faucet on a house built in the
60’s. I hope this works!
Good instructional video.
this was a great video, i am going to try and check and change out what i
need to. thanks for the video, and i just subscribed.
Thank you for sharing this. It will help me out of some trouble with
someone I tried to help fix their faucet and it wouldn’t stop leaking. I
think I loosened the seat when I removed the faucet (I should have not had
the faucet turned off – tightened to the seat). Anyway, the new faucet
came with a seat, so I’ll just replace that.
Thank you so much! Very helpfull.
Thank you! Informative and to the point.
Hello, Thanks for this video..I too have the same problem but my faucet is
much different..please check this video if you can and any suggestions
would be much appreciated.

I can replace a washer in a tub. Wish me Luck.

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the turn knobs when they get
stuck? I’ve tried using an handle puller but still can’t remove my knob.
