Will this give me access to the thin clear plastic cover for the turn signal on the back side of the mirror (the side opposite the mirror glass)?
How much more for the mirror with dimmer. If you went through all that to replace why not fix the dimmer function too

Do you have any videos on the Lincoln mkS?
That's the auto darkening mirror, they are filled with a reactive fluid. Any bit of pulling on a good mirror to remove it will break the seal and render it no good.
If you don't care about the heated mirror and tinting.. a regular Ford edge is fine. Looks like what you did.
