man thank you for the video and not skipping over parts that make it hard for the average guy to do his own work. I feel like almost all mechanics "how to" videos leave out crucial info so the DIY'er has to take it in anyway.. win win for YouTube mechanic cause they receive add $$ plus actual repair cost.. anyway man thank you for this and your LS power steering video. my LS has been sitting for 3 months now while I decide if I'm going to fix or just scrap it..

Saul Orozco says:

Nice thank you have same problem

T-Hobbies G45 says:

I got A/c but no heat any suggestions

Matthew Garland says:

the flow part is unique open the purge you usually get sputter then flow and have to repeat steps to get it to quiet the fan and possibly limp mode … ive tried bypassing the heater core too but wound up with even weirder problems with flow out the purge currently im looking for reasons for steams wondering if a smaller hose is leaking like under the manifold or from the back of engine or ???? head itself :/ mine is a 3.9 but same setup after changing and cleaning out a couple DCCV valves the main culprit to poor AC is possible …there is callk and people dont want to use distilled water here we go …hey man cool vids on my lincoln LS i see your into them little demons but if you got the reasoning behind the sputters steams and AC and cooling issuess and plumbing weaknesses post your resolve i mean your always under these little meanies like i watched the bottle for days with no movement before after experiments at some fill point its working again but i have no confidence seeing steam and no movement from the bottle

Steve Luera says:

Hey, Hey, Hey you da man, man!!!! So for all you folks out there, I wasn't smart enough to know about the bleeding or the secret door. I just dove and removed the heater control valve. And as dude will know by now, THAT IS NOT EASY!!!!!!!! But, here's a trick. Those solenoids will unscrew. (I haven't done that yet because I just discovered this video, but yes, they are attached with little screws requiring the six point tool, not a Phillips screwdriver. But just replacing them will be a whole lot easier than trying to remove the entire valve mechanism. THAT requires taking out the fan, and other hoses just to be able to get to the valve body) On the other hand, I haven't called the parts store to see if you can just buy the solenoids. Just thought of that. Maybe you have to get the whole unit. Rats!!!! There's always sumpin!!!! But anyway, great video. I wish I'd looked for it earlier. I hope you make more. Great job!!!

An outstanding video, very infomative especially for a DIY mechanic.  Have not started on my ls,  still at the shop. I was told that the problem is the heater control valve. I will bring it home and do the checks myself according to the video, get back with you later, thanks.
