Hi, could I slap a 4 cylinder toyota compressor on a 6 cylinder toyota? They look the same everything matches up except a plate on the front of the pulley

Cloud K20 says:

Hey is there a way to remove the compressor without removing the lines? I'm replacing my motor that would be a major help

I learn a lot from your video. The way you explain is very easy. I watch all your videos. You are very good.

MrSatchelpack says:

What belt did you use to bypass the compressor. I need to do the same to keep my only means of transportation usable. Thanks.

Im pretty sure a shop set my car on fire from the alternator + terminal. Evidence of melted wire harness, in operable ECU and the cap with a product number. Maybe Coincidence that cap was for flame retardent spray. And the same day they told me their "air compressor for their lift had an issue and caught fire"and metal shaving everywhere. That's cause (what they didn't tell me) engine mounts fail 2/3 and the rear was flexing the k frame up, cracking the exhaust manifold,(which they didn't tell me about), the downpipe, and crushed a power steering line. They charged me $1500 even when I supplied parts the car drove 2 days before I garaged it. 8 mo later I reverse engineered what they did. They told me they used a hack saw to cut the old exhaust off because "didn't wanna mess with all that " referring to the intercooler, vacuum hoses (EGR, brake booster etc). Later found metal flakes in my pcv after deciding it was the perfect time to do the valve cover gasket for the first time since it was leaking. Take it off, find metal everywhere and one cap on cam discolored. I'm like that's odd, no sludge anywhere, the fk is that cap discolored, ohh that's metal protruding! Yeah the oil pump decided to not provide enough oil through the miniscule little holes Ford ingraciously provided for me . SMH. FML.

Hey Brian , the same thing happened to my ‘93 mr2, except that aside from the burned compound the compressor was also locked. Any idea what would cause that? Thx.
And thanks for all your videos and picking up the garbage at the end (BFATE).

Brian, did you happen to buy a Honda NX 650 way back in the day? I swear it was you that I sold it to. If your still in Utah County I need some work done on my Toyota.

Greg Whisenhunt says:

I thought that in more modern cars, it is a bad idea to only take off the negative terminal. Am I wrong?
