Finding a tech such as yourself is impossible. Too bad you don't live in northern California, I'd gladly give you my hard earned money!

tedmich says:

Holy Crap! What a TERRIBLE service design!

B bustin says:

As far as a preventative measure. While it is disassembled. Replace the heater core ? Just a thought

B Landicho says:

You’re not only a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ mechanic but you are also an educator. Keep up the great honest work that you do. May the good Lord continue to shower you with blessings in all you do.

D. Lewis says:

I'm sure everyone watching wishes your shop was conveniently down the street from them……..

Keith Newton says:

That why you have workshop manager and formant, its there job to make sure the mechanic treat the equipment right. Every 30 mins before end of day we had mechanic clean equipment amd put it away now every mech ia an employee they are not independent they are not paid by the hour or by the job . They soend 8hour a day at work so it has to be right

Juan Mendoza says:

When AC is not working first thing, I do is make sure if low remove the rest refrigerant and vacuum and hold it for an hour making sure there is no leak, yes indeed you are an excellent and conscientious technician that surpasses many experts you enjoy what you do my congratulations keep up the good work

Darkfarfetch says:

Can skip all this and replace all the pipes

choi0706 says:

I'd replace the heater core as well. Especially if they're keeping the car for awhile.

D C says:

R12 was the best and coldest compared to R134a and R1234yf.

Wy Hunter says:

The main difference between you and other mechanics is you don’t need to figure stuff out during the whole process, you just know how to do it the right way, not expect I can do this but so enjoyable to watch, you are the best of best.

Harpo Marx says:

N I G H T M A R E !

Sam Jones says:

its not difficult to recharge, a DIYer could care less about the Freon as long as its right. The next thing the DIYer has to do is go buy a $200 set of gauges. Then they must buy a $500 Vacuum pump. When they learn that you must vacuum the lines for about 20 minutes then you must fill with out including any air that may be trapped in your hoses from you gauges. They also have to know how to use the gauges. Oh come on,,, it simple… lol

JDave Foster says:

It should be illegal to sell cars with impossible to service HVAC systems. Cars CAN be designed and built with A/C evaporators and heater cores that can be accessed in 15 minutes.

kclefthanded 427 says:

I just leave the A/C charging to the professionals

Tom A says:

I'm blown away how complicated this repair is. I would never attempt it. For sure I would do something that would mess up the air bag system.

Rodney Booth says:

Wow, sure impressed me. I have to photograph before and after when I do a belt change.

M T says:

1600? I’d charge 5000 that way I’d never have to do this job. Lol
Too bad you live in Illinois
Do you know any mechanics you could recommend in Tampa?
Why Chicago??
Place sucks
Government is corrupt
Cold as a witches tit
Salty roads
Terrible traffic
High taxes
Why would anyone live in that hell hole

kclefthanded 427 says:

The dash looks like navy blue. Is it or it's just the camera and lights?

DT NA says:

OMG! I never knew that an A/C repair could be this difficult.

oldskool says:

R12 is great… I have it in my 1988 civic and have extra cans .. its non flammable and non toxic and low pressire and very very cold….

oldskool says:

I would never become a mechanic in modern times… the cars are too sophisticated and complicated.

Mark Frye says:

I was a bit scared off by the length of this video. I am glad I watched it! So much detailed information! Great job guys!

BILL says:

What was the mileage on this lexus, 14 years old just curious about how many miles. I have the same lexus model but mine is a 2007 with 42,000 miles. Wondering if my evaporator will leak ??

Gharlic says:

What a fascinating video. I love owning a Toyota product and seeing you explain all of what may be in my car. I absolutely love how easily you seem to explain such technical things. Thanks so much.
