I am going through the same now, except a very very slight shaking at low speed and not on braking.
1. replaced tires and shifted same to rear. 2. alignment – I knew it was slightly off – but I have lifetime and it was adjusted. 2. within the next month, will have the annual, low mileage oil change. At that time will check the ball joints and tie rods. 3. I think that there is a steering wheel box and that there is a bolt in the box that might be slightly loose. 4. the rotators were turned last year.
I knew your Lexus was not falling apart but I clicked on it anyway.
