Lexus GS350 2007 DIY replace Fusible Link – overview

1) Remove battery 2) Remove LHD unit which is under the battery, which will then expose one of the fuse box bolts. 3) Remove the fuse box cover 4) Remove bolt and wire harness on top right 5) Remove the 3 bolts holding down the whole fusebox container 6) On the bottom left there is a large wiring harness with a collar with a plastic knob. Free this plastic knob from the hole on the bottom left. You will need to free 4 tabs on the fuse box, and at the same time, pull up on large wire harness with lots of strength to free the 3 sets of fuses. 7) Separate the long black fuse block by first freeing it from a white sheath under the wiring harness. Free the tab on the long black fuse box, lifting it’s wiring harness from the white plastic sheath that is under it. Note: the white plastic sheath is attached to the fusible link, so it may be easier to free the long black fuse box and it’s wiring harness from the white sheath that is under and wraping around it’s wiring harness. The wires are tightly bound with plastic ties so this can be difficult to separate. 8) After freeing the long black fuse box, you can then focus on the small black fuse box. Remove the bolt on the upper left first (don’t forget to put this bolt back before putting everything back together). Once you have the 3 fuse blocks seperated, you can work on moving the wires on the fusible link over to the new fusible link.

What were the symptoms of your car? Did your car start at all? Did you damaged your audio system and power accessories in the car?
Thanks ☺
