How to repair a broken Lexus IS Mirror – Highline Car Care

We’ve seen it all too often – you take your Lexus IS250 IS350 or even ES or GS through the car wash, the mirror gets ripped forward, and now just flops in the wind with no tension. A replacement mirror is going to run you $500+ so let’s talk about a much more economical fix that requires only a few simple tools.
Watch the video, try it yourself OR give us a call if you are local to the Phoenix AZ area. We offer no guarantee on this fix, but it has worked for us many times in the past!

What if we don’t have an oxygen sensor

Daniel Lavrinenkl says:

Which way does the glass pop off? Mine isn't coming off as easy as the video makes it seem.

JD says:

The Lexus dealership just told me it could cost $150 or I might need a new mirror which costs $1000 to replace and they won’t know for sure until they open it up which is the $150 and if the whole thing needs replacing the $150 is non refundable. Both my mirrors are loose lmao!

But when you do this does the mirror still fold inward? Or it’s stuck in that position you put it in?

Tampatec says:

Great tips and video guide, fixed my is350c mirror!

Super Aids says:

Great video. But how do you put the actual glass piece back into place?
