Thank you for stopping by to watch our Lexus ES350 door panel removal & install. We all know taking off a car mirror is pretty simple but taking off the door panel seem a bit daunting. We’d like you to know that it’s very easy! If you know what to look for, this can be a very quick job to fix whatever issue you may have with your Lexus ES350 door.

The main goal of this video is to show you how to remove your door panel but we’ll also teach how to replace your ES350 window regulator/control, the bottom door light and side view mirror.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a philips screwdriver, a panel clip removal tool but you can also use a flat head screwdriver. If you use a flat head screwdriver, wrap it in a towel or something soft so you do not damage the panels.

PROCESS:
Every door panel is virtually the same, in that it will have a screw behind the door handle and a screw behind or under the window control. We say a screw but it could also be a bolt, but you get the point. Use a small screw driver or your finger to pry the little cover to expose the first screw. Use your panel clip removal tool (plastic one is best) to pop off the door/window control. The third screw is on the round cover piece towards the fender. Why that piece is there, is kind of a mystery, but it’s probably for support. Now, the last screw is on under the arm rest. We missed it and tried to pull the door panel off. Do not force anything off, you can usually figure out where the panel is stuck and look for a small panel or screw. When you take the door panel off, pull it away from the door from the bottom working your way up. Also, 99.9% of door panels hook on to the top of the door frame. So, pull the panel away from the door and push it up to completely remove it. Once the door panel is off, you can now remove your mirror, take off the door panel and work on the window motor, or for whatever reason you took the panel off.

Putting the door panel on should not be much trouble. You just removed the door panel but we’ll give you a few pointers. Make sure you plug in all connectors and make sure the window control plug is accessible. You’re gonna have to plug that in to the control module later. Hook it to the top and snap it back on working your way to the bottom. Just insert all the screws/bolts and you are done! We knew you could do it all along.
