In this video, I show how to remove and reinstall panel fastener rivets, the kind you push down to remove, the push back up to reinstall. I show this on my 2015 Scion xB, but I assume that Toyota uses these rivets on various, Scion, Toyota and Lexus models.
Are these the same pins on newer toyotas and lexuses? I need to take the front bumper off on my camry to replace the headlight assemblies
Anyone can provide a link for me to purchase this item? I try searching everywhere but seem like can’t find any of them
wow. i hate these bastards. MVP 7 years later
Wow thank youuuu
Super helpful; thanks!
Thanks man.
Releasing after pushing them in doesn't work so easily when they're brand new. I pushed the middle of a brand new one in to make sure it was the same type and I had to resort to flat head screwdrivers to pry the prongs out and pull it back out. I put all my force with two hands and the center against some metal and it would not come out. Btw, it was an authentic 10 pack of these clips.
what sizes of fastener clip?
What about the rubber screws?
easy as pie!!!!!!!!! hahaha! no freaking way, not in this thing we call real life.
Thanks, I got the pin out but could not figure out how to get it back into place. Your video was right to the point.
Thanks for sharing. But my question is where can you buy replacements, other than the manufacturer when they ultimately break?
Thanks I was stumped at how to replace them .
Thanks upgraded the outdated style from my gs300. These type work better.
What about the push fastners that hold on the scion tc rear bumper?
This is the BEST video yet that I have seen on how to work with these clips! Great job and super straightforward video. Thanks.
