This saved me some money. My car was an ES300 2000 Lexus. The hardest part
was removing the old struts, but once that was done, the job was a cinch. I
never would have attempted this without this video. Thanks! I’m ready to
perform heart surgery now!

This helped me because I need to replace my 1996 Lexus ES300 Struts.

I love 1aautos how to videos! Used this one and the one on replacing ext
door handles. Both have given me the confidence to try minor replacements
on my own and save some cash!

Regarding the 93 Camry, It’s not a sensor. The driver’s side strut is
actually different than the one you supply. There is an extra piece on the
strut that holds the wiring loam. It’s piece of steel that comes off that
base that the loam slides and clips on to. It’s not totally necessary and
you can attach the loam in another manner but to let you know, the strut
bottom attachment is definitely not the same in my ’93 Camry. Aside from
that, good video and follows it to a T.

Thanks for the video. But the other side is different, isnt it? It seems to
have another part attached on the down side (some kind of wired sensor).
How do I unattach it?

1A Auto Parts says:

If you’re replacing these on a 92-96 Camry it should be just like we show
in the video. If for some reason you have a sensor attached you may need to
remove it and place it onto the new strut.
