How to Install Aftermarket Speakers | Lexus IS300

How to Install Aftermarket Speakers | Lexus IS300

I recorded this video not too long right after the head unit video but as soon as i finished this video, the outbreak happened so everything was pushed back and stuff with school caused delays. Apologies again, but back to the videos.

Kicker front and rear set up. The details you are able to hear in this specific cabin is amazing! Very satisfied with the setup especially with subwoofers.

Daron Changeux says:

Has anyone found wiring harness for the rear speakers?

Antonio Bruno says:

IS 3hunna says:

Sweet vid Btw all the wattage and ohms don't really matter to you unless you're running out to a aftermarket amp as long as you have a solid brand you're good to go kicker is more than solid & thanks for the tutorial I'm going to be adding a third 6×9 in the back window with a 6×9 behind the armrest total 4 -6×9

delegerernt says:

BROO VACUUM UNDER THAT SEAT WHILE YOU GOT IT OUT PLEASE. GOOD VIDEO INFO BY THE WAY.

4 door supra says:

curious as to what's the purpose of bypassing the factory amp?

THE F HEAD says:

Did you have any signal interference? I can’t seem to get that noise to go away while the car is running.

Don Ennio Salieri says:

Great job u could show us how to unplug all plastics but wideo superlike!

Joshua Marchan says:

can you show me where you wired your ground?

Antonio Bruno says:

Hey boss could you send me all the links

Oz Boy says:

If someone was to use an aftermarket harness for the rear, what harness would they go with? Like part number wise and brand

rob 49erfan says:

Not sure if you sound checked your rears but your not getting the FULL RANGE coming from your 6×9's this is due to the stock lexus speakers being an actual component unit which is why the rear plug is a 4 prong black/red (lows) the other two are wired to your highs (tweeters) I know for a fact because I bought 2 way 6×9's for my 05 and didn't get the full range, talked to a stereo installer and you have to bypass the STOCK AMP to get the full range for those type of speakers you've installed "OR" as I did I purchased an ACTUAL COMPONENET SET to get the full range. So my 6×9 woofer went to stock location, and the tweeter i installed into my rear doors…. sounds better anyways.

abdullahcfix says:

Yo I bought the same mounting plate from amazon and the screws holding the speaker to the plate are touching the rear deck when i try to lower the speaker into place. Did you encounter this issue and if you did how did you get past it?
Thanks.

LifeCine says:

Installed a double din but the stock rear deck don’t get any sound? I rechecked my wires and they were all good. What could be the problem?

Benjamin Kornienko says:

Sup man, nice vid. However, got some problems with wiring. Connected the positive to the red one, and the black to the bolt, no sound. Any guesses what it can be?

Hawaii Bruv says:

Where exactly did you put the rear speaker ground to ? The spots I had them in always have had a whine to them , then after a few minutes the heat unit would say miswiring

Lexus Luger300 says:

Solid video. I used this for my install last night

elroy jetson says:

Doing this now

BigHeadBran says:

Literally got the same exact setup besides head unit, I tried wiring both positive and negative to the rear speaker with the oem harness and i get 0 sound. Do I really need to wire to ground?

Rick Pate says:

2005 IS300. I used Metra harness and front speakers were good. Had to run speaker wire to the rear and just come straight from the head unit for the rears.

Dabe Co says:

Hey man, these videos on the is300 are great. Seriously some good stuff and you explain it very well! I had a question about the rear speaker wires. I found a pair of after market bypass harnesses on a website but crutchfield says those arent made for the is300. I'm wondering if you'd have bought them if you knew they existed? Or do you think your method of wiring them yourselves was better? Here is what I'm looking at btw ( https://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Lexus-IS300-2001-2005-Factory-Speaker-Replacement-Connector-Harness-Package-Kit-HA-HarnessPK-461?utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=GoogleBaseFeed&gclid=CjwKCAjwmMX4BRAAEiwA-zM4Jndq3sdKIlNd4K2aQaqPria5VgrZsmsmcl0AOwbY9X05aF6sxCNkPRoCC-UQAvD_BwE )
