$2600 for evaporator replacement on 2011 F350.
That job is expensive on almost any car on my girlfriend's Prius it was over 2,000 to do the same job
Proper car mechanic! Love it.
Lmao that intro opening
no it is 3000 $ to be able to drive a car with AC !
Remove the heater core and the AC evaporator core – not any longer any reason to teardown all this….
Had a $3.80 gasket cost me $2200 in labor on BMW X5
Omg, just how can you remember where everything goes? Today's auto mechanics are like doctors!!!
Simplicity is everything! Reason why I held onto my 2-71 Datsun 521 trucks and my 78 Toyota Corolla SW as they are reliable, modifiable and so easy to repair in addition to very inexpensive parts.
These are some of the most Beautiful vehicles on the road. I do most of my own repairs/mods so I'm not scared to take something apart. One of these should be perfect for someone like me. I will NEVER EVER own one of these piles of crap!
OMG I did one of these like 9 years ago, I couldn't believe it, the whole dash comes out in tiny pieces smaller than a banana. I thought I was doing something wrong.
I am sometimes convinced that peak automotive engineering occurred with the 1973 Plymouth Valiant with a slant six and Torqueflite automatic transmission.
Got my latest rover for free..
Why did she use the same shop over and over…
The engineers do an assessment as to how long each and every component will last based upon history of repairs. Efforts are made to simplify more common failures.
I think I'll try that logic on my boss next week.
"Hey boss this route you wanted run that should take me 8 hours but I do in 4, go ahead and pay me for the 8 anyway!"
ive done 2 heater cores myself on a jeep WJ now….never again haha….just too much work….at least when I break something on an old jeep i just say "oh well" and keep going (and i've broken a lot)
Put the guy out of business… hold them accountable
What happens if the replacement part fails…
