The Range Rover Evoque has developed a door lock fault once again, in todays video replace the driver side door lock actuator. In this simple DIY / HOW TO we carry out the task on swapping out the drivers side door lock actuator on the Range Rover Evoque.

This Evoque has had work done on these door locks in the past, on the 26/10/2016 the n/s/r was replaced by land rover for £247.16. On the 11/02/2017 o/s/r and the o/s/f was replaced by land rover once again for £365.85. In December 2019 I personally replaced the the drivers side (o/s/f) with a door lock actuator for under £20. This lasted only 13 months, making this the 4th time this has been replaced.

I think its the inside handle which is damaging the door lock. This Evoque is set to open all door locks on press of the button, so unlocking and locking is not causing damaged as all other locks would have failed. The drivers door gets the most use from the inside, which brings me to think this is the reason for the failing actuator – WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK !!!
