I'm a bit late on the uptake, but could you give me some advice pls? I'm thinking of buying a 2000,Disco 2 V8. I'm confident in mechanics to perform this fix, but is it always a cert that the head gasket will fail? Also if you strip it that far is it best to get the bore liners changed or is it rare for the liners to fail?
Great information
What a super helpful video for you guys to put out there. !! Thank you
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Atlantic British for doing these vidoes. If I lived in the U.S I would certainly order all of my parts from you in appreciation. Super helpful.
You guys are amazing. Seriously. Thanks so much for these videos, they are the number one reason my Land Rover Discovery 2 runs as smoothly as it does—I've had your great, detailed videos helping me through dozens of maintenance and repairs. – Matt
Fantastic video
I'm about to do this repair myself on a D1. Is it necessary to depressurize the fuel system first?
Awesome video, I’ll be doing this to my D2 here shortly so this came in really handy. As always you guys have great products to keep these beasts running.
Excellent guide – something I need to do real soon as insurance policy – 356,000 kms without any issue, but taking half the top end off to do leaky rocker gaskets, I may as well go that little bit more and do it properly! I would recommend replacing the plug leads and water pump while you're there, regardless of how they look.
The trick with the AC lines to get the coil out was perfect. The pain I endured to plug those wires in after inserting the coil is still with me.
Great video.
