Land Rover TDV6 3.0L Drive belt tensioner failure & repair

In this video we investigate the strange noise coming from our Land Rover Discovery 4 TDV6 3.0L Diesel engine, it turns out to be the front fan belt / drive belt tensioner. We have a go at working out how to remove the old one and fit the new one.

when i first started in a workshop some thirty years ago the owner of the coach company who was also the chief mechanic said " lad " always put some oil or grease on the bolt threads,it may be you that has to undo it next time !!

Hi. There is another idler pulley on top right that need replacement with tension pulley, my experience both go out at the same time. It is better to check it now and change if nessary. Good luck.
