The mint munted rover returns

Andy Bawn says:

Did my rebuild 20 years ago (1972 109" LWB [ 1 Ton ] ) and the one thing that i regret the most is not adding a NEW chassis @ £850 as it was then it would mean 20 years on I wouldn't be looking at a second rebuild now 🙁

K R says:

The frames probably straighter now than when it left the factory.

After the welding montage Geoffrey, I hit the dance floor with Irene Cara

DingleZilla says:

Great video and work on the Land Rover, well done young man!

Greg Wilson says:

You’re a really good welder. I wouldn’t have bothered dressing those welds at the 20:00 mark. Nothing wrong with them at all. Particularly once painted, they would’ve been hardly noticeable.

Just discovered this restoration and I’m hooked. Must. See. More..

Richard Beck says:

From what I can see you are a pretty good welder..good job

Fromafar says:

Well you closed up the frame rails after inspecting the inside welds…..should you have primed the inside with rust inhibitor ?

Paul Womack says:

You know, as I watched Squatch253 take a dented old air cleaner for a Cat D2, (for which he had a perfectly good slightly later replacement), take it apart, grind apart the spot welds, unsolder the connectors, straighten the bent (and now accesssible) metal pieces, and then reweld/rivet/solder the pieces, I thought I'd seen the most meticulous loving restoration I was going to see this week.

And then I watched you deduce the faults in a chassis using only straight edges and tape measure, like some ancient greek geometer.

Kudos to both of you!

Vinay says:

Sorry I am late I had a lot to catch up. Just found the first official land rover channel.

Malcolm Lane-Ley says:

Fabulously thoughtful and skillful restoration and very entertaining on this cold English Sunday morning, your filming and editing is also amazing, well done.
