Do you have a video of rebuilding or setting up the gears in a Salisbury. I have 315,000 kms on the Defender 110. I’m starting with the rear axle and trying to keep it a daily driver.
Also, does Bearmach or the sponsee have diff (ring/pinion) rebuild kits? (Seals, bearings, shim sets, etc.?)
Like a mini eaton or meritor final drive on a semi truck, cant wait to see what inspection turned out on apider housing
Great video Chris, and I can see the recording quality is definitely better, especially the depth of field. Congratulations on your new recorder!
I remember doing this at TAFE, old Holden Commodore diff's. Was fun.
Good to see you back. Great vid. Not related to this, but I tried to give Brookwells a chance. But the same part, using standard shipping, was 50$ at Brookwells, and on another site, standard shipping was $10. They need to improve their shipping costs… 🙁
If I were to store a diff/final drive unit for future use. (say a decade), what would be the best way to do this? Thank you
thank you sir
Interesting stuff Chris, didn't realize you have to measure so much!
Ace video, that impact gun looks like a great bit of kit
