I purchased an L322 TDV8 Range Rover in April 2023, while it is true it has spent most of this time at the mechanics Garage, I thought I would compile a list of 10 items I have found useful, navigating through the purchasing of one of these cars.

1. A car is a matter of life or death
2. It is repairable when it has catastrophic damage, engineers like working on them. 4.4 engine has hisory of open heart surgery and pure recovery
3. Do not have the autobahn or nurguring in UK so M5, Nissan GTR are not a necessity
4. Emissions engineering has ruined most diesels
5. Most Mechanic shops do not know how to do basic checks, like compression test or smoke test
6. Cars on ebay are cheap for a reason, wishful thinking of getting a deal
7. Most cars for sale are over priced, especially the high end cars
8. Avoid cars that have been sat around for several years, very difficult to put right
9. Avoid buying cars that have been run into the ground
10. Deal with Rust when it starts not when it has developed. In UK rust proofing car is one of the most imporant things to do.
