Installing Lambo hinges on a 7th Gen Toyota Celica

I’m not a professional, Do not assume this is a perfect installation. If you believe only lamborginis should have lambo doors, well NO ONE asked you to watch…

miguel bernabe says:

Dude what’s the size of the washers for the bolts?

Luis Vazquez says:

no each sticker is actually 50hp, I would know my civic has 600hp just from stickers

Israel Cruz says:

how much cost??

JRINDAGAME24 says:

Good job. Very understandable vid and a great confidence booster.

Ian Verdream says:

this did help alot im putting the hinges on my 2001 celica gts soon and i have much more understanding then i did with the instructions.

Ian Verdream says:

iv had 7 eclipses and well they are nice i loved everyone of them i just got my first celica last month and its hard to believe that i will never have a eclipse again. i got the 2001 celica gts.

126liberator says:

This car is still winning design awards and was one of the great turns pf the century for toyota, the VVTL-i engine is still to this day the Flagship sports engine for toyota and lotus still choose to use it in their supersports cars so that would mean you know absolutely nothing and nobody here is surprised. Go back to your Dihatsu Charade

carlos112695ify says:

How much did you pay for them?

MovementofTension says:

special order.. im almost positive they would fit other cars, but i dont know what vehicles.
its best to contact the website listed in more info or description

Petr Bartůněk says:

its specialy part for this model or universal ?

ceo says:

The question is : Mitsubishi or Toyota. What brand sounds better to you? Get a Celica much much cleaner looking.

R .A .M says:

i love you toyota if you love my peugeot 106 whit back turnd lambo doors 😛

Marshall6971 says:

Thanks, very inforative, Ready to watch part 2. BTW: What brand arre you using?

MovementofTension says:

Your opinion, but the fact is stickers and lambo doors add 40 HP. 🙂

mikepinoy21 says:

The car still ugly….and slow!

devon overgaard says:

I’ve ben looking around, and I really like the celica but I was also looking at the eclipse’s, but year 2000, which do you prefer?

gio cortes says:

Dif it shot prop?

MovementofTension says:

Well, despite popular belief, even though we all look and act like idiots 😀 LOL My brother is a Class A welder. The welds were good.. just fat. too much material. we merely cleaned them up. But yes granted extremelambo doors did provide weak welds. it would have had more focus on that subject. My hinges were fine. and coupe doors are far heavier than i would have credited them.

kyle budd says:

Why didn’t u just re drill the hole that way your not removing what was all ready a bad weld causing it to become super weak.

MovementofTension says:

Depends on your taste. You do what i did, you can revert back to factory. You definitely get attention, but it is a pain in the butt, but there arent many car mods as crowd turning as a lambo door. lol.

MsShakibkhan says:

So is it worth it or its a pain in the ass???? let me know ASAP as i am thinking about installing them myself…

Alex Cain says:

So I don’t get that whole ‘fender rolling’ thing. Why do you have to do it?

Tommy Phung says:

can you replace the gas shock if you choose to avoid adjusting or..

DevinHacks says:

Thank you for this tutorial, I was planning on going with a different brand for my hinges, but this steered me toward ELD’s site. Thanks!!

Damian Gamblin says:

… im lazy -_-

MrMsnbeats says:

i have matte black wrenches , will that work??/ :p

MovementofTension says:

Clearance issues, if you try to go straight up the interior door panel where it bulges

clintstrehl631 says:

why when you open and close it do you have to go out and then up instead of just up

Selfmade19811 says:

i have lambo doors on my 95 civic. it looks cool but its a pain in the ass lol.

MovementofTension says:

they did work fine, but i eventually took them off, Every time i would take someone around they would always slam the door wrong, so I’d have to go around and shut the door, you can adjust them to shut perfectly.. but in reality the gas shock will lose pressure. resulting in removing the fender, and adjusting the nut. a 30 min task every few months. but i dont suggest them on a daily. more for a show car just because your friends dont love your car like you do. and they will screw up

MovementofTension says:

i cant quote for a buick since I’ve only used them on a celica. lol, the funny part is to me. I only put up these videos since there isnt a terrible lot of do it yourself mods.. I can understand lambo doors arent truly desirable to everyone though. anyway a 90 degree kit will vary since mine is like a 70 degree angle. i just kinda winged it. all i can suggest is a few friends and 2 days of work. in case you run into any trouble.

TRAVIS SMITH says:

Ok….I have a 1980 Buick Regal limited and I found the lambo door hinges to my car.UCL True 90 Degree Bolt On Lambo Door Kit 79-88 Regal .I was wanting to know if you think the same thing you did would work on a car like mine even though my car is older? This is what it says on the site….Note: These are true 90 degree hinges meaning your door will rotate up at least 90 degrees when opened guaranteed. UCL aftermarket hinges bolt in place of your factory hinges.

Dylan Rodgers says:

hey man, how much did you pay for these hinges? im thinking about getting them for my celica.

PouriaLDN says:

how is it going?? have you had any regrets? are they still working fine? any problems? thanks

MovementofTension says:

you could do that. but as you had already mentioned some people dont know how to open them. So it would seriously hurt resell value. As much as I love using the celica as a Daily. nothing last forever, so welding them on was way out of the question. The bolt on aspect gives people the option to go back to OEM. secondly you will have to adjust them eventually as you lose more and more gas though the hydraulic shock. Much like the trunk shocks they will expire.

MovementofTension says:

the only thing I can suggest is rolling or cutting more of the fender as I did.

MovementofTension says:

yeah, you have to watch part 2. thats where my brother uses a wrench to sorta suck the door up to the hinge. to prevent it from not aligning correctly

lalo102189 says:

this video was great but one more thing that you will need to do is weld them because some people dont know how to open them and will move your hingies and will have to align it again .. so thats one more thing WELD

john marcus says:

I bought it from the same company as you and we have the same car but yours fit in perfectly, when I lift the door up when I have the fender on the hydrolic hits the fender so there is no way for the door to go up.

john marcus says:

So I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS, and i just finished putting on my doors by following your video, even though you did forget to mention a few bolts in the beginning… (; But anyway, my question is, After i finished getting it all bolted on, the door was alligned on the side but the bottom of the door is awkwardly sticking out maybe a quarter of an inch. I fiddled with it and it looks right when i push the bottom in but when i let go it goes back out. Any ideas? Is it adjusting on the hinge?
