I Install Larini Test Pipes In My Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. | Insane 5.0 V10 Exhaust Sound

I show you how I installed a set of awesome Larini Test Pipes in my Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. I did this to fix a common issue with the original 5.0 Lamborghini V10 that came on the 2004 to 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo. Over time the stock catalytic converters break down, exhaust reversion causes the loose material to get sucked back into the motor causing cylinder wall scoring.
The Larini Test Pipes installed in this high mileage Lamborghini will make the car sound like it should have right out of the factory!

Tearing down a fine, high performance engine reveals WHY it cost so much to buy. It also brings great satisfaction to the impoverished owner. It’s part of the payoff. I feel a bit sorry for those who never bust their knuckles.

John Martin says:

I don't know it all but when you have a fastener that will crack free you must relube and work in the loose, tight sequence .

Jason Hall says:

I'm also in Virginia and would like to get up with you at some point for a cruise and talk about the cars

Omatters says:

Yes! Nice work!!

Working Man Audio says:

Sounds like my VW 2.5 5cyl.

AdLP640 says:

Interesting video thank you! I'm looking to get a Gallardo around about October, the used car market should be looking a bit better by then, Gallardos' at the moment are about 20 – 30k over what they were 2 years ago.

Rowe says:

Can you weigh your car? I’m very curious what curb weight is compared to what the weights show online.

Scott Laurie says:

just did the cars on my 08SL bought Hill Engineering Clamps

SomeJuanPlay says:

I'm glad the solution to the problem makes the car better!

Kent Adams says:

I've been told by Ferrari techs not to use those oil infused air filters. Your mileage may vary. On the cat particulate, do the cats break down with age or is it more likely with use? I wonder if your codes were deleted by someone with a tune. My codes have been deleted on my car. However, I don't go catless because of the loss of low rpm torque.

Tanel Rebane says:

Hey man, great vid, one of my favorites so far! But geeeez, that cat material. As for the Check Engine Light, you might not get them if you keep the stock post-cat exhaust – but keep us posted! And yes, absolutely I'd love to see a nicer/better solution for the intake!

John Szwede says:

Hey bull rider greetings from Australia , I have the same car with around 55,000 miles . I just did a cat delete and fluid motor union ( made in the USA )made me a nice exhaust . Loving your videos and love even more another legend using his car ! Life’s too short after all . Keep up the great work
John

NDPesic Group says:

Great work !!! Sounds sweet !!!

Dave Steven says:

If you have the highest mileage SL, I would be curious how much scoring you actually have in your cylinders. If a borescope shows none or little maybe there isn't much cat debris being sucked back in. But if you have excessive scoring then that confirms assumptions that cats can cause damage. You mention rebuilding the engine in the future, why? Have you looked inside or done a leakdown test, or just on principle of being a high mileage car? Finally, what did you end up doing with that stray wire at 3:07?

Adcampo says:

Very cool project. Fun to watch. That engine bay is screaming for a detail.

Jan Pieters says:

Looks like the catalytic converters are ok.

Cliff.SL.007 says:

I don’t think that wire does anything at the end of the e gear clutch position sensor. My SL has the same wire hanging out. Unless mine is broken also…. Lol….

ATOM says:

"Really let those clamps contemplate their life choices" hahahaha
