Just so you know, the gold foil and white intake covers still look great. Your friend Tony seems like a cool guy. Passionate and dedicated to metal work. He has welding rob for dissimilar metals in his tool kit.
The back of a Gallardo doesn’t even look like a car without its bodywork. It looks like a jig for an engine, trans, and turbos. Carry on, can’t wait to see you drive it.

400 series stainless is mildly ferromagnetic. And relatively inexpensive.
@tavarish did you guys spark test that exhaust to see if it was possibly titanium? steel will produce a yellowish gold color spark, titanium will produce a white spark..just throwing that out there…titanium is also weakly magnetic like you showed
