Dont Kill Your Battery! Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Battery Tender Install Parasitic Draw

I show you how to install a battery tender on a 2004 to 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo to include the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. This also works on the Post LP Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Huracan and Aventador. What I show you in this video applies to 99% of the cars on the road and the Lambo is no different!

This easy DIY fix is something anyone can do with simple hand tools. Don’t let your battery die on you right before you take it out for a drive!

Martin Murphy says:

I keep my SL (Pre LP) on a CTek and had over 7 years out of the battery before replacing it, fully recommend to connect whenever your Lambo is not being driven

Craig Scartozzi says:

I use my lambo CTEK if I dont drive it for about 3 days as well, keeps my pre LP G happy…DONT WANNA DEAL WITH GETTING A NEW BATT. AND PULLING OUT THE FRUNK…Great video buddy.

Tanel Rebane says:

Hey man, good vid – parasitic drainage is easy to forget, but it becomes apparent once you downsize the battery "for the sake of weight savings"! šŸ˜€

Just some input on CTEK. After having seen the tear-downs/repairs by Magic Smoke here on YT, I would recommend looking at NOCO instead. This is especially relevant with the newest generation of CTEK-units where you need to register an account and use an app to get full functionality (unless they've changed that since release).

Dave Steven says:

Just bought one through your link because my old Battery Tender bit the dust this afternoon.

Pilotgirl59 says:

I have a Ctek on my LP wired directly onto the battery instead of using the cigarette port, No idea why but hey whatever. I always use my tender if leaving the car for more than a few days. Thanks for posting

Kent Adams says:

I replaced my AGM with a lithium battery. If your garage gets below 30f, I would stick with AGM but if not, go Lithium.

veucinze says:

Thanks for the tip!

SomeJuanPlay says:

When I get my Gallardo I'll definitely be picking one of these up

Marcus Lavender says:

I have this same model and it works great. I've been super lazy and just leave the rectangular frunk door off and clamp it on old-school style to the battery. Is that bad for it? I like the cleaner look of the way you've done it, though. I am super-obsessed with always keeping it on the tender and make sure all the lights are all the way up on the tender every day. If the battery dies then you have to re-program the remote to the car and other stuff.

CNC Routers, Beginners & Beyond - Garrett Fromme says:

My battery died on me three times and I didn't realize it was that thing you call "parasitic draw". Thanks for sharing this.

jacob chavez says:

Iā€™m going to check how is mine hooked, the battery feels like struggling to start the car, of course the colder the harder, I may need to get a new battery, unfortunately is getting a little work done, new clutch.

NYC LIVING says:

i have my gallardo on the same tender but the lambo one from factory. Most important reason for a nice full charge battery is the EGEAR system.
