When on a dino the shop plugs computer into car and tunes the ECM. The tune created the horsepower, not just the cold air intake. You might get 3 horsepower alone.
so I installed an aftermarket cai just like this but a generic version off eBay, installed and did everything just how you did, after I installed, my mpg dropped to half. had to remove & return. did you by any chance come across this issue at all? last time I checked mpg are suppose to improve if anything not diminish…I believe the mass flow sensor was trying to compensate because it was thinking it was sucking in too much air, and as a result that's why my mpg drop to 15… any input/ help would be much appreciated thanks man
