Wiring directly to the wires via solder without any fuses would leave the system vulnerable wouldn't it? At least fuse taps are actually fuses.
I’m confused. Pin 16 is constant power, but in what situations should I use 4 or 5 for the ground?
Great video, thanks for posting. Do you normally add an inline fuse to your dashcam when hardwiring this way to avoid the fuse tap/add on method? Also, do you have any experience with battery pack systems such as the Blackvue that only charges when the ACC is on and runs the parking more recordings off of that power source to avoid using the vehicle battery? If so, just curious how they’ve been for you. Thanks,
Excellent video. Thank you so much for this!
Hi. I have a 2021 Telluride, and I purchased the Vantrue N4 camera. As far as I know, the yellow line is missing for the constant power to the battery. It has the red ACC line, and the black ground line. If I don’t have the yellow line, how can I power the 24 hour parking camera mode? Thank you for your great videos and your help.
Awesome! This helped a lot. Thank you!
I’ve heard rumors that all 2022 Tellurides may have built in dash cams which can result in lower insurance rates.
