DIY KIA – How to change SmartKey Key fob Battery on Kia Forta

This video will help you change the key battery. It also shows a problem we spotted this week for the first time. The exising key jams when it flips out, it has to be pulled out using fingers

So today we’re looking at the latest Kia and Hyundai key. See, you’ve got the Kia badge on the back. And it flips out.

So this here is the battery compartment, and the easiest way to just pop something under there, like a screwdriver, and just gently lever it up, nice and easy.

Then, to get the battery out, which as you can see is a 2032, is to just pop something in this end, and it’ll pop up just so easy, and that’s that.

So to change it, just pop it back in, pop on the cover, and then you are good to go.
