Awesome video but I did chuckle a bit when hearing that this is the easiest possible install. I got an iDataStart HCX & T-harness, and it plugs into a single connector. I think what makes it simpler is that I have PTS (push-to-start) model, though. Maybe the OEM is easier on the PTS model too?

big4m20 says:

Thanks for the video. I was curious did you know how to change the setting of the remote from 3 minutes to 10 minutes?

Scott Knight says:

Does doing this yourself void any warranty on the vehicle?

Adam Plank says:

Thanks. Great video! I followed your clear step by step instructions and became a hero by installing one in my wife's car.

Julio Conde says:

Can you please tell me if this remote start it compatible with carlink moudle

Jerry Hatfield says:

I just did this on my 2013 Kia Sorento and my fuse box didn't tilt out that easy! It would barely move! Had to take out the front driver seat and lay on my back to get to those 3 plugs in the back! The harnesses are so rigid I was afraid to break the sockets. Videos look so easy until you try it yourself! Good Video Sir!

Matias Lapera says:

What an amazing video. Thanks for this one . I bought it and installed myself. The steps are 100 accurate.
Thanks a lot. The whole thing cost me 330 bucks . Tools included. I had to buy everyting except the screw driver. A mix of ebay /menards.

Thanks a lot

Btw i installed on a kia 2017 2.4 awd.
And i broke some plastic guide on the first thing i had to remove.
Didnt affect anything everything is fixed. But be gentle

Ah. And another thing. If you are wonderinh how much this in a kia dealership(same product) is 600 installed . So u pay 300 for 1 hr man work

Patrick Boshell says:

That fuse box switch you switched of did that have to be switched back on ?

Gary Stinten says:

Really want this for my 2013 Kia Rio.. so in summer I can run across before getting in and heater in winter.

Also want push start stop button so I don't have to deal with keys.

Lastly I want to update heater cooling system so I have the auto system..

Also want the cerato electric seats so my car becomes a little bit special. And retrofit the buttons into the door trim so I can memory the seat position when the ignition is started.

Lastly.. I'm not sure if this would work.. but the Kia Cerato instrument cluster into my Rio and be able to programme the kilometres into the new cluster…

Lastly, the autodimming rearview mirror to prevent nighttime driving shock from the mirror and hi beams from other road users.

Any chance of making videos for these mods?

Wilson Villada says:

Did you ever find out if you can start the car without the remote starter. Just using the keyless remote ?

lavonbpi says:

Did you ever find out if there was a way to use the OEM remote to start the vehicle instead of having to use the second aux remote… not really trying to carry around two remotes for the same car.

Adam Miller says:

Thanks much! Big help.
