Is it neccessary to switch off the main power to do this? I found that its very hard to turn the steering wheel if i turn off the main power.

Worked perfectly. Thanks

My dealer wants $409 to fix this. They said the clock spring will be around $134 and the rest is for the labor. ╮(╯▽╰)╭ It looks simple enough to fix yet here they are milking every penny we have.

So I have a few questions, so the airbag light only turns on when I turn my steering wheel. When it stays the still the light turns off. This is for a Kia Forte 2014, by the way. Is this an issue that can be fixed by replacing something, is it a easy fix?

nappydrew says:

Very helpful. Thank you. I assume it's pretty much the same for a 2013 Optima?
