I replaced the starter on my 2016 Kia Soul+ about 6 months ago. I got mine from the Kia dealer for mere $314.00!
I wish Kia would provide some type of water shield to protect the starter.
The starter is located so that any and all water / salt / brine / dirt that makes it through the radiator lands on the starter.
If the fan happens to run the starter gets drenched!
The starter that I removed was also rusted / corroded badly (56K miles; NYS car)
I can’t unplug the one cable from the starter is their a lock on it?

Tried to replace mine today and I think I couldn’t the new starter on because of the different size bolts. I think tried to hard to put the smaller bolt at the top instead of the bottom SMH that’s why I couldn’t fit the starter in there
