How did you Crack the nut on the idler pull? I know you said a 14mm but you didn't show that part just mentioned it. I can't get the bolt on mine to budge.
Thank you I followed your instructions and was able to replace the air conditioning belt. I found out in my case that the tension pulley for the air conditioning belt was defected once replaced worked as a charm!

Wow very informative I have a loose AC belt and I didn’t know where to start to even find the tensioner. Not only do I have the same year Kia spectra but even the same color! Thank you for posting and thank God for YouTube
Man my craftsman ratchet wrenches has got me out of some sticky situations lol
The Sportage and Sephia/Spectra are the only "freewheeling engines." The valves do not interfere with the pistons if the timing belt fails. All other Kia engines are "interference engines.” The valves may interfere with the pistons if valve timing is off.
Can't believe they didn't want to change out a $5 belt. Dummies.

Just got three belts done for 200$. I already did the timing belt. Was that a good price? Kia spectra5 2007
Thanks for the video. I screwed up and galled up the crank shaft bolt trying to get it out, had to order another one from Kia. My own fault, didn't even need to take that bolt off to change the ac belt but I wasn't paying close enough attention. Went fast and smooth once I got that back in.
So just the idler tension pulley was bad and not the actual pulley on the ac compressor? And what was the reason for taking off the timing pulley?

09 spectra, now I know what size those bolts on the alternator are. Couldn’t figure out how make belt loose. Tight space makes it hard to work on

Thanks for the help dude. Just to confirm, the belt on the outside is the AC belt ? My car just shredded it and I lost my power steering and my batter like it on, but it's the belt on the outside.
