Scotty will always be a living legend.
I had a 98 wrangler with the in-line 6 and got over 300,000 on it
my ZJ has the 4.0 and ax15. Been solid
Little know fact about the jeep inline engines, the flywheel can't be resurfaced, at least by the average shop. They have an ever so slight dome shape. Just buy a new one, don't push your luck with an old one and don't think you can just have it ground flat. I learned this the hard way.

why do you keep saying that cars down south are not rusted compared to the northern ones.
My wrangler TJ has a 4.0 and 187k miles, but it is a maintenance hog and all the metals rust easily

I've had my 06 Golden Eagle for 12 years now. Straight 6, auto trans, a/c only 61,000 miles on it still like new inside and out. I played hell finding one that some kid didn't screw up. Before that, I never had a Jeep. Now I will never be without one.
