Lift Your Jeep Wrangler The RIGHT Way! How to Install a Fully Adjustable Lift Kit

Lift Your Jeep Wrangler The RIGHT Way! How to Install a Fully Adjustable Lift Kit

Its time to ditch the stock suspension on the 2 Door JK project!
After a few offroad trips, the jeep did surprisingly well for still having the factory 180k mile suspension.
Once we start searching for bigger tires, harder trails, more suspension travel, we need to start looking for a good suspension lift to suit our needs. Clayton Offroad makes some amazing suspensions for Jeeps, and they ride really nice on the road while still offering a ton of offroad strength and flex.
I went with the JK 2.5″ Overland Plus kit, paired with Bilstein 5100s. I also added the rear trackbar on top of the bracket, and brake lines for future install.
When choosing a lift, having adjustable components is going to be a big way to get your jeep driving like factory and allow you to make alignment changes.
On the flip side, these adjustable components can be installed incorrectly and lead to more problems down the road.
In this video we go over how to set all of your adjustable components and the steps to make sure they are installed in the correct order, helping your suspension last a long time!

From what I've come to understand caster is a bit of preference but where abouts should those numbers be?

Excellent video . Why the front shocks are with the rod up and the rear rod down?

Jeff says:

What lift are you using in your shop? I'm not talking about the lift kit for the Jeep.

Jeremy Greek says:

Great video for those learning how to do it yourself! I can confirm having crowfeet wrenches are a must when dealing with jamnuts. No one else ever tells you that, great job pointing that out! I need to move my front lower control arms out one turn to length my caster a degree. But first need to losses the nut as pipe wrench just didn’t cut it. That small adjustment made a huge difference in drivability. Shop that did alignment put it to factory specs, but once lifted you need more caster so learn how to do these minor adjustments yourself if you have adjustable arms.

Did you do a video on the KBD Flares?

S Diaz says:

I love Clayton’s rear track bar bracket beefy design. I’ve had mine for 5 years now.
