My dad passed away in February. He was huge into motorcycles, and when he wasn’t in good enough health to ride anymore, he traded his bike for a 1987 Jeep Wrangler. It was a project for sure. When he died, he knew how big into jeeps I was, so he willed it to me. Every time I watch one of your videos and learn another thing about working on vehicles, I feel like I’m working on the Jeep with him all over again. Thank you so much for everything you do.

I was wondering what was up with that part of the frame in the last video and it seems like the "patch job" did more harm than good
Jeep YJ's & TJ's frequently suffer apocalyptic frame rust.
Jeep really designed these frames poorly. Probably intentional so they WOULDN'T last.
I probably would have tackled that by welding backer plates inside the frame rail since it was opened up so much. Then installing the repair pieces flush with the original frame, thereby preserving the original frame dimensions. Done neatly enough and the repair would be close to invisible when painted.
