I may need to do this mod. One night on school campus I was studying in
library and after 1.5hr of studying a couple buddies of mine call me and
said they left a surprise for me when I got to my jeep in parking lot.
Turns out when I walked outside and saw my jeep those m’fers opened the
hood and left it propped up. Lol great vid a lot of good info here.

I can’t help but think that I would leave a longer piece of flat stock
under the section that you drilled to lock the hood lever. I would drill a
1/2 inch hole in that extended section so that when I unlock my hood, I can
put the lock there and not lose it, or leave it on the trail. Good video
though. Well done.
