Jeep Wrangler: Turn Signal Stops Working When The Headlights Are On

In this video I have a look at a customers Jeep Wrangler with the big 3.6 that has a customer complaint that the turn signal works until you turn on the headlights. At that point the light goes out completely. Sounds like a typical Chrysler/Jeep bad ground to me 😏

Chrysler does NOT have the market cornered on the crappy ground problem. I live to the "salt belt" too Delaware and Schoharrie countys, where I have found many many bad grounds on GM's too. Haven't had or taken too many stabs at Fords and don't want to. In Schoharie County now we do not get to use "domestic salt, NY state dictates our salt comes from Chili or Peru or some other South American country. We don't get the chance to crab about Cargill!

The biggest question here is, who knew there is a Wrangler driver out there who actually uses turn signals?

Galen Tangleborn says:

I laugh at the fact we are in 2023 and yet most auto manufacturers insist on continuing use of incandescent lamps. Nothing more annoying on a modern car than the dashboard nag continue to say there's a lamp out despite replacing all with LED. OH, but for an additional "value added" upsell you can get a magic "trick" to convince the computer into thinking you still use incandescent.

Don Bishow says:

I would also use liquid electric tape.
