Jeep Wrangler Rocker Rail Install PLUS How to Make Your Chassis Look Amazing

This is the video where I give up the secret to keeping the undercarriages on my vehicles looking pretty nice and I install a set of MetalCloak Overline Rocker Rail Guards on the Autoedit Jeep Wrangler JKU Rubicon!
If you just want to see chassis detail skip to 10:22 but check out how fun it is to install rocker rails on your Jeep… I appreciate the support!
Next week, I’m running the Rubicon trail and was doing my normal pre trail run preparations and decided to order the MetalCloak Overline Rocker Rails to match the fenders I put on almost two years ago!
The install is fairly easy and these are the highest clearance and toughest rocker guards MetalCloak makes. I was torn between these and the Overland rocker guards because those have this awesome flip step that makes getting in and out easier but I opted for the more simple and tough option.

OCD is killing me, those inner guards/covers whatever they are need to be black, they stand out way too much, bit of paint or powdercoat and they would look way better! Even something like a raptor lining…

If you are looking to protect your chassis and metal parts I would recommend ACF-50 a superior product that actually gives protection against salt and water for those of us that do not live and off road in a dry climate.

Nice install. Can’t wait to see this Jeep on Thursday.

You ever try fluid film? I believe it does the same job as the tool box buddy. But with the fluid film I’ve noticed dirt and grime gets stuck to it. Does the tool box buddy do the same?

Sean O'Hara says:

Awesome install video. Just a tip. Might want to antiseize those nutsert bolts too. I've had them spin because the bolts would seize inside.

Jeremy McLerran says:

Really enjoyed this Jason. Thanks for taking the time to film and edit. Quick question: how far does one can of tool buddy go? Can you do the entire Jeep with a single can? More than once?

Jlui83 says:

What inner fenders are you using?

SXS TeXaN says:

And my buddy's give me a hard time for doing this! Looks really good bud, keep it up.

Are you still very happy with your Metalcloak lift kit? Also, how about the six pack shocks? Thinking about getting the 4.5" long arm from Metalcloak
