Thank you so much for posting this. Helped me get over my fear and just do it. Unclogged the drain and now we don't sweat the rain… 🙂

Thanks again…

Thanx, was wondering how to get my wipers off, figured it was time to clean out the vent since today my 97 TJ started smoking from all the leaves in the blower. Normally it smells like dried leaves when ya turn on the blower, but today I had a cab full of smoke.

Did your '99 TJ come with that plastic cover over your cabin intake or was that aftermarket? I just peaked under my '99 TJ cowl for the first time this year (I bought it new in '98) trying to find and plug any leaks and did not have one attached like yours. Now I'm wondering if the body shop that repaired my windshield, hardtop, and dash (awful experience) a few years ago didn't put it back in.

Great idea using compressed air. I was thinking of using a vacuum or power washer to clear that drain, but if air works I'll use that instead. Great video and great shirt you're wearing.

Good video thanks for posting. I have a leak on my 03 TJ when it rains. I never had a leak with the soft top I had , but when I went with a hard top ,now its leakville.  Its coming from the drivers door at the top of the door where it meets the top. I wish I still had my soft top however it was stolen off my jeep. I hate leaks. Sorry to hear about your 8.8 dilemma , I'm sure you will find one soon. I agree on people listing parts , then selling them and not removing the listing.

Awesome video. Just cleaned out a ton of crap out of that center drain on my 2000 TJ. Thanks!
