I like to use anti seize on the threads and to use a little silicon on the
boots to keep them from cracking

For the Rookies who wanna get dirty

Graveltrucking says:

Come on now we know the best way of breaking the virginity wanting to get
dirty is changing the spark plugs in a Ford Triton engine the perfect job
for a newbie that has never changed spark plugs before lol.

I’ve pulled wrenches for a few decades, spark plugs always make me worried,
why? Your not careful things can turn into a clusterfuck. The best tip I
can give is start your spark plugs with your fingers, and retard tight is
never the answer with spark plugs, last tip stay away from Champion spark
plugs lol. Never be in a rush to change spark plugs especially if you have
aluminum head(s).

Mickey Glover says:

Whats your opinion on E3s, I run them in my 2.5L, and no problem so far.

Christiaan Sidell says:

I would drive my TJ up to Calgary just to go wheeling. Seem like a sick
place for trails ad views.

Redneck Garage says:

and keep turning wrenches … LOL Nice gloves … I can use my Chinese
torque wrench ?

Best plug installation video I’ve seen. Very thorough.

AZ TOYTACO says:

Funny shit Gravel. $400 to do all eight plugs on a Ford Expedition. I
tried. Said fuck it let the shop cross thread it not me and sure as shit
they did. I’ll go wheeling with you Jerry. How far is AZ to Calgary in
beers? 6 thirty packs I’d say.

BushWalker says:

Jerry invest in a legit retrofit for your jeep with those hid’s, only run
you a hour for a lifetime of more light and safety

UBBERTANKER says:

anti seize on plugs going into aluminum head and always torque to spec
which is usually alot less than you think.

kent06403 says:

You are right– even I did this with my 4 banger Jeep SE with no mechanical
skills. Thanks for the encouragement. The time lapse is a nice effect,
Jerry.

nitrosavy says:

Great vid, you should always check spark plug gaps anyway, I have found
them closed up right out of the box.
