you need to drill to not have horrible gaps. this man loves to go to gapplebees.

Spot on install some say you have to drill all new holes. I only drilled the middle hole (bottom stud on top latch)to lower the hood some.
Can you say gap! The hood isn't even alligned. What a crappy install video. That's why all the other installation videos on these say to drill the holes out with a 3/4 bit so the hood gap is less.
You don’t have any adjustability if you don’t ream the stock holes out.
the install created a bigger gap, clearly visible on the video….there is probably no way around it without drilling, to get it done right.
What a waste of MONEY. I have had mine for 10 years and so what about the hood flutter! Like who really cares.
