Turbo Alice says:

me taking out the axles from my car to access something else. sees a line of axle grease "welp, guess i'm ordering an axle boot now". then ball joints, tie rods, steering rack itself, lower engine mount…
i ended up replacing every consumable part on the front end of my car. well, to be true i did refurb the outer tie rods that didn't have play in them, i threw more grease at it.

Scott Butts says:

I sold my own very rusty, but running and driving 2000 Wrangler for $4400. Granted, the ONLY thing wrong with it was the frame. $1500 seems reasonable for this one

A nut splitter would be handy for that stuck factory bolt

Mike Kozi-Lester says:

Terrall Putnam says:

Jared, I am glad to hear about Dorman making a kit to eliminate the death wobble. I have had cars with the death wobble and I hate it when it happens. Impact wrench with a regular socket, Great example of questionable choices. Classic! I have to change Ball Joints on my 2007 Yukon before we go on vacation in Colorado. Thanks for the quick example of using
a ball joint press on the vehicle!
