How is that coating holding up?

Chris Harrington says:

Awesome video. Very informative.

Muddy Waters says:

Nothing sexier than a woman that can tighten a few nuts.
Keep up the good work!

Billy Bell says:

the rope thing is for pulling the cable out

BuddyLe3 says:

You may want to replace those D-rings. I am subscribed to a channel called
bullshitkorner and the guy on there has a Jeep TJ project. He had ordered
a winch from Smittybilt very similar, if not the same as yours. He had
mentioned that the D-rings on his winch didn’t come with a weight limit
stamped on it. He had to replace them not only because in Canada (which is
where he is from), it is illegal to have D-rings on a vehicle without a
weight limit stamped on it, but also lower quality rings wont have weights
stamped into them. So even though your winch is rated at 12,000
pounds…you don’t know if the rings will hold 12,000 pounds or 200 pounds.
So it could potentially be unsafe when using it while winching yourself
out of a situation in the bush. Just thought I would share that with you.
Other than that, keep up the good job on the videos.

William Allen says:

I love your videos!

bchdds says:

Great video, cool bumper!

Austin Stilley says:

About how far apart are the two mounting holes for the lights? I was
looking to put a LED bar right there and was wondering if a 10 in or 20 in
would be best and how to mount it. Thanks!

Epiphone101 says:

painfull

Chris W says:

When I got my winch a year or so back it came with about zero of the bolts
I needed

Dennis Whitaker says:

I was anxious to see your next video on the wiring part. You will find as
I did that the electrical box that mounts on the two bars of the wench will
not mount because of the light mounts on the bar. A Warn XD9000 wench will
fit because the electrical is slanted back and misses the light mounts.
Also the XRC wench from Smittybuilt will fit because it allows the box to
be mounted over the motor. You will have to mount the box somewhere else
and I’m curious how you did it.

Mike Bailey says:

Looking at getting this bumper. Am I able to install a winch down the road,
or is it better to install a winch when you install the bumper?

Peyton Floyd says:

What the fuck? You skipped INSTALLING the bumper??? The title even says
INSTALLING the src smithy built bumper. And the only part you skipped was
the fucking installation of it. WTF

mecanicman66 says:

i just subs to you i didn,t know you before but now i see woman also can
make good mecanic ummm i definitly like it great video girl thx

Reid Brown says:

Just a suggestion, when you have the d-rings on, the tightener side of each
of them to the outside. It looks better because they are symmetrical.
That’s just my preference.

Cole Warwick says:

that red strap is for pulling your cable out when its in free spool

Michael C says:

Winch not wench. Sorry… It bothers me. Great video otherwise.

Peyton Floyd says:

Yj has 4

TEXASOUTDOORSFINATIC says:

Do you know how many inches apart are the light mounts? Like if I wanted to
put a light bar?

JeepFanForLife says:

No the red tag for the hook is so when your retracting the cable back in to
the winch you hold on to the red thing instead of the hook so it doesn’t
pull your fingers into the winch.

Reebert McJunk says:

ya probably want to loose that diamond till your done… have a feeling the
bumpers harder than the ring…

Jeff Tjernagel says:

On your fairlead the flat washer and lock washer should have been installed
with the flat washer first (against bumper), then the lock washer and last
but not least the nut. The locknut sandwiches between the flat washer and
the nut. If you don’t know the grade of the bolts I would have suggested
going to a “big box” store and buying grade 8 hardware. From looking at
the video I don’t think they are grade 8. Good video! Thanks

Trenton regenhard says:

That sticker comes right off then you don’t get the butterfly claps showing

marco cuevas says:

your camera is g reat

thyNOMADman says:

Have you tried using the winch yet?

sixbroncos says:

correct way to install lock washer is to install against the nut with flat
washer against the fairlead frame, to prevent the nut from backing off. the
winch nuts are captive so those cannot turn, those are installed correctly.

Preston Thompson says:

Sorry, last comment. Did the winch come with grade 8 bolts? I’d guess it
should with its claimed 12K rating. Just curious. 🙂 Great job on your
install.

Would you do it any different now, after your install? As in, winch on
after due to added weight when installing the whole bumper?

Preston Thompson says:

Looks great! Now…to upgrade those fenders! :-p

Justin Etheridge says:

There’s nothing wrong with the Badlands winch. I run the exact same one on
my TJ with the Smittybilt stinger. My parents have one mounted on the front
of a trailer and which a car up with no wheels and ran like a champ. I
don’t know how true it is but I heard Badlands winches are actually an old
Warn design

Bill Solito says:

Thanks for the video badlands has crap directions, and I was uncertain
myself to the placement of the lock washers so I did it the same way.

Sm00gle says:

You go girl good for you!

josh foster says:

she didnt have to unbolt it just disengage the spindle and roll it
backwards

seth nagel says:

i put the red nylon thing where the pin goes on the hoot so i won’t loose
it when I’m using the hook
