With just the one screw I don’t know how you got the mount bracket to be tight. Debating drilling another hole for the other side or using gorilla tape. I still want it in the same position yours is mounted.
Another question, are you required to replace the factory bolts (~5:37) with the longer bolts and add fender washers and nylock nuts? I notice the holes that the bolts go into are threaded already.
Quick question, the rubber grommet that the cable runs through (~9:03) did you have to cut the center of that to make the hole big enough for the cable to pass through?
Was this a three foot antenna?
Get rid of the spring nothing but problems with swr
nylon bushing going on the stud first before inserting the stud in the mounting brackets
Thank you for doing this video. You are appreciated. ? for ya. They sell the nylon bushings for CBs that have a """"RAISED CENTER"""" that fits INSIDE of bracket's mounting hole. Would this style of bushing eliminate the need for a rubber band, o-ring or E tape like you suggested. Btw all great ideas. lol. Here is a link to what I am thinking of using for my YJ.

Cool videos. If I want to connect directly to the battery but the red wire isn't long enough, how would I do that? Can I crimp any color wire to extend it to the battery?
