How To Jeep Install of Baja Designs LP6 and Rock Lights Kit

Howdy guys! This time on the AutoEdits Jeep Wrangler Rubicon build up and upgrade series… I install a set of Baja Designs LP6 Driving Combo lights and a set of four rock lights. Plus, I’ll go in depth on how I wired everything in to my Jeep with the Painless Performance Trail Rocker system but the same techniques apply to any switch system.
Here’s a link to the Baja Designs website for more information on the lights: https://www.bajadesigns.com/Products/led-auxilary-lights.asp

Head on over to the AutoEdits Amazon store to get the best deal on them!

Realized someone might look for the switch panel I have so here it is https://www.painlessperformance.com/wc/57004
There are lots to chose from on the market so pick what you like best, this one has worked well for me and I have one in the Mustang as well!

Thanks so much for watching… please subscribe and hit the bell for notifications!

I've never heard "dumbstick" before today but I will absolutely be using that in the future LMAO…thanks for the video and the vocabulary extension

ANDRES PEREZ says:

Do I need to have a switch that has a on/off/ on or can I use a on/off switch for both the high beam and low beam. But I know not to run them at the same time.

Michael Wood says:

Really, love the channel. Your insights have taken my skills to a whole new level. Appreciate all the content and the detailed discussion around each and every upgrade! Keep it up!

Allen M says:

Hello. It looks like you took the wiring for the LP6 lights out of the proctective harness. Is this correct. I would have to do this to run the wiring inside of my bumper.

twoallame says:

Would have liked to have seen a full night time view with the lights on

Phillip Buslon says:

I'm really interested in getting a pair but I'm afraid of someone stealing them. How easy would that be for someone?

Rocky Jeeper says:

Awesome video, love the lights.

Rocky Jeeper says:

I made he same mistake a few times forgetting heat shrink, So much neater when using it. I now sit down and assemble the harnesses so I won’t forget details like… heat shrink lol!

Tim Ferris says:

Are you using a fuse and relay for rock lights

Flip's Jeep says:

I really want to put my lockers on my switch pod but I'm afraid the kiddos might hit them on the road. I'm thinking of mounting something to my vector bar, off to the left, so no one can. Great video's Jason! Thanks for doing what you do.

Thank you for a great video and at mean time your simplicity on explaining things. However, how do you manage all the load on the car battery, please explain in detail. What should I do to maintain the correct electrical supply without draining my battery.

Patrick Hwang says:

Hello, great install video. Quick question on your harness, Looks like you went with the 640167 x2 and a 640176 for back light. Is there an advantage getting a Lp6 Pro Harness 640172? I guess the switch is not needed on your set up so maybe your way cheaper vs getting a complete kit 🙂 Thanks

Clayton Upton says:

Why wouldnt you want to be able to run both the low and high beams at the same time on the Baja bumper lights?

gunube says:

Are the BD rock lights really more yellow than 'amber' as it looks like in the video?

Colin Ruch says:

I don’t see why their worth almost $700

Michael says:

Absolutely love your vids but it's time to step into a JL! I loved my '15 JKUR to death for over 5 years but man I'm loving my '20 JKUR just that much more!

Nicholas Rodriguez says:

Any way to show how to crimp the connectors this is the most difficult part and no one shows how tooo?

JonnyBgooD 007 says:

So glad you made this video! I couldn't find anything on the install as well.

Jeremy Rhodes says:

I can't decide if I want amber or clear when I buy mine.

Mike Hancho says:

$900 for 2 LED lights, and $300 for the rock lights…………………………Hard Pass!

Vitale says:

Excellent Video. I've been thinking about adding under carriage/rock lights to my M923A2 – Those Ambers look great! Bummer about the spider bite. Is that a P51 Mustang RC plane hanging from the rafters? So Cool.

Fellipe Martins says:

Hi Jason … Firstly congratulations for you video … Based in this video I decided to buy my LP6s …. Just one question …. You talked about two accessories to buy with the Lp6…. Harness Kit and other one that I can’t identified … Could you send me the link for each one pls!? LP6 only work with these two accessories? Best Regards and Congrats again for the video!

Gilbert Arsiaga says:

I got stung by a wasp on the back of my head and now I'm starting to go bald there. Maybe the spider bite will make your hair start growing back.

1fsttoy says:

I miss watching you build up your Jeep. I think you should buy another stock Jeep so we can watch you build it up again.

diablitos05 says:

Why not just get Bluetooth or (wirelesses)?
