👁 About this video : In today’s video we do the spare tire delete on the Jeep Wrangler! The kit from Suparee has all the hardware needed and it’s a pretty simple installation, just time consuming. To start off, you need to remove the rear camera surround and then the tire. From there, you can start to loosen the bolts holding the actual bracket to the truck. The wiring for the third brake light is easy to take out, but you do need to remove the studs that hold the tire first, and then you can wiggle them out. For the installation, we decided to run the license plate lights to the factory location which meant we needed some more wire to reach. So we did a little more work then using the passenger side tail light, but you would still need to run the wire from the door to the interior so going through the black strap was the best solution for that. With the lights and third brake light assembled and the extra wiring, it was time to install that bracket and connect the wires! The wiring took the most time just mapping it out! But I love the new look and the fact that the camera is closer to the truck meaning that I can see the entire rear bumper now to see exactly where the truck is!
