Your hitting the wrong side of the tire to get it unstuck.
They design the frame to fail, so you buy new, car companies don't care about making a long lasting quality rig anymore. I have a the and it's rotted out in the same place as yours just not as bad, look at where they put the big factory hole on the side of the frame but there is no drain hole at the bottom, it's designed to capture moisture and mud and fail. What a shame
Great video man. I wish you lived in Michigan, I'd pay you to do the same for my baby.
Most annoying voice everrrr!! Goodbye!
Sadly, yet another video using a MIG welder for frame work. Please do not do this. You need to use SMAW ("stick") for ANY and EVERY frame welding work, including trailers and hitches. Other than that this is a great video and has lots of interesting information. As far a grinding welds, you only need to do that if you have porosity (bubbles and holes) or the weld is crap, and needs to be redone. Most mechanics cannot weld, but they think they can. Good video though.
I have to do this soon have the safety cap coming in the mail wish me luck
Where did you get the replacement frame from?
Stupid chipmunks!
Gonna be doing the same thing to my TJ soon. Thanks for the video and good job.
Looks like crap after only 15 years. Not a very impressive corrosion resistance.
I am going to have to do this soon as well. I just want to make sure its worth it. giving all the parts out there and how many people are welding in new frame parts it seems to be. can you shed any light on this?
Very informative! What settings did you have your welding equipment dialed in at? Thx!
Anyone else see that rat watching him under the jeep then haul ass?
Good work man
