so No horse power notice?

Bryan Spear says:

Does the 2.4L have that same ground wire that’s close to the oil filter?

EngineerPrepper says:

where did you get the cooling fan switch? looks like a stock switch. should love to know

Thanks for the vid! I plan to replace my factory rad (which I suspect to be at the end of its life) with aluminum and electric fan, just like you have done (SWEET job, BTW). While it was not the topic of your vid, I noticed that you have a CAI on your 2.5. Between the CAI and elect fan, did you see any performance/mpg/power gains? My 01' is basically bone stock pushing a 2.5" lift and 31's. Before I dump a bunch of time and dineros into my search for power, I just wondered what your experience has been. Many thanks!

K4ACS Smitty N. says:

Good information here but please note that this will not work with the 4.0L XJ as it uses a 33"x11" radiator so the fan diameter will be smaller. This is also true with the 4.0L MJ. Due to the spacing between the radiator and front of the 4.0L, the XJ's mechanical fan is not attached to the water pump pulley as shown here. It sits to the side on a separate bracket, bearing and pulley. However, if the fan bearing is good, you can remove the blade and fan clutch and install an e-fan if you really want to. You should replace the radiator with a 3 row model since the e-fan cannot flow 2000CFM through the radiator as the mechanical fan did. Another option on the XJ is to use the heavy duty fan clutch for the 2.5L and the fan will rotate about 60% of shaft speed instead of the original fan clutch's 40% shaft speed.

What was your approximate cost? Great video.

I like your work just quick question the blue and black wire witch wire goes to the battery and the other to the relay I’m confused trying to go by your diagram.
