Jeep wrangler starter diy, the other day my starter was begining to act up. Somethings it would start fine and other times i would turn the ignition key over and nothing would happen. This starter wasn’t really that old only a few years or so. changing the starter is easy, first make sure you disconnect the battery. remove the electrical connections from the starter. Then remove the 2 bolts holding the starter in place and remove.

Man, you need your garage back !
Sux working in the snow outside
Best of luck
Great job Jerry !!! I did notice something that others may have not noticed. When you installed the new starter , your bolts were nice and clean. Most people would skip that step of reassembly.
I used a Bosch starter in my 98 Cherokee. So much more powerful than stock.
Do you know when Americans stopped to use inches on bolts? Is there a specific year they dropped that?
I had a similar issue with my jeep but it was the relay switch in the fuse box under the hood. MFBT!
Jerry- Love your show, I just had the same problem on my 06 tj, my repair times was a bit longer because stopped for a beer between removal and install. Keep the Jeep vids coming
Real good camera work.
Of course that shit always happens in the winter
Jeep vids FTW!
