RESTORING MY WRITTEN OFF JAGUAR F TYPE SVR

Head to https://squarespace.com/chrisslix to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain using code chrisslix

Now we finally have some parts for the wrecked #jaguar #ftype #svr we can get to work rebuilding the car which we saved from the scrap yard.

With structural damage we need to replace some of the parts that sit underneath the body panels so this is the place to start.

I am still having an absolute nightmare with parts being incorrectly listed and not showing up which is starting to become even more of a problem!

Can't you have the small £700 wing part fabricated? Got to be cheaper ….

Darren Howes says:

Look forward to watching how this unfolds

Scott C says:

Nice job, id try match the original paint finish's and not make them super nice like you did!

JAMES COSTIGAN says:

Great video! I always check the prices at the manufacturer first before breakers. Sometimes I am shocked at how cheap it is to buy depending who from. Chris I loving this F type content. Well done.

Daniel Shelley says:

Could you not get a panel beater to fabricate an inner wing for you? There has to be some old school body shops around that can make the panels!

Louis Mochine says:

I've finished my F type rebuild if your want any pointers for the interior I'm uploading some vids documenting the rebuild to my channel

Leigh Moss says:

You see it all over the place with people charging more for secondhand items compared to new. So I always start with how much is it new before I start looking secondhand as I know if it's right or there trying their luck lol great build and hope you get sorted on the wing front. Do you have the old one? If so could you get it panel beated back into shape or maybe get some made in say carbon fibre if you have a template to copy off.

dion wilkinson says:

paint the calipers yellow

Dieter King says:

Callipers are screaming to be a contrasting lime green !

Ben Smith says:

So you mean to tell us that you cant make those door hinges work as a diffuser?

Luke Shardlow says:

gold, orange or copper for the callipers. look great against the blue.

michael gregory says:

have you thought about taking the Metal side panel of the other side and taking it to a metal/engineering company and getting them to make one from what you have. Might be alot cheaper and quicker

Cracking stuff Chris. I like how you have done your workshop/garage. That lighting is great. A lot of good info. Thanks.

Lucas Lagun says:

Shaz A says:

How come Matt never comes to your garage to help you with your car???

Iain Rutherford says:

Top job Chris. Love the way you're breaking down 'the problem' into lots of manageable solutions. The car is coming together really well. Keep up the excellent work.

Diablo España says:

You don't wanna drop a nut in your car mate…

James Downes says:

Nice one Chris, enjoying it as always. Don’t go with the common calliper combo on the blue car (red, yellow, black), instead I reckon a spring blue or a light blue will look mega and usp!
